In light of the exceptional circumstances that the whole world is going through, and with the halt of education in various countries around the world, which included Arab and international legal competitions in which law students find an opportunity to hone their legal talents and communicate with colleagues from many Arab and international universities. Among these competitions is the Philip C. Jessup Competition for International Law, in which KILAW participates with a group of its students who compete with students from prestigious international universities in oral pleadings and written memorandums and receive legal training by a number of faculty members with experience in the field of international law. As for this year’s competition, it was subject to exceptional circumstances after the spread of the Covid-19 virus, which led to the suspension of the oral pleadings sessions, and limited the competition to the evaluation of written memorandums submitted by the participating teams. In this regard, and after the evaluation of the committee concerned with reviewing the written memorandums of the participating teams, Kuwait International Law School’s team ranked ninth (9) out of 745 countries participating in the competition to reaffirm once again the skills of Kuwait International Law School’s students and the high-level training that they receive by a number of experienced faculty members at KILAW.

باسم كلية القانون الكويتية العالمية تتقدم إدارة التطوير الطلابي والمسابقات لطلبتها وأعضاء الهيئة التدريسية المشرفة على الفريق الممثل عن الكلية في مسابقة فليب سي جيسب ٢٠٢٠ بالشكر والتقدير وذلك وبالرغم من الظروف الاستثنائية التي يمر بها العالم أجمع، ومع توقف عجلة التعليم في مختلف الدول حول العالم، فإن هذا التوقف شمل المسابقات القانونية العربية والدولية والتي يجد فيها طلبة القانون فرصة لصقل مواهبهم القانونية والتواصل مع زملائهم من العديد من الجامعات العربية والعالمية. ومن هذه المسابقات مسابقة فيليب سي جيسوب للقانون الدولي والتي تشارك بها الكلية بنخبة من طلبتها الذين يتنافسون مع طلبة من جامعات عالمية عريقة في تقديم مرافعات شفهية ومذكرات خطية ويتلقون التدريب القانوني على يد عدد من أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الكلية من ذوي الخبرة في مجال القانون الدولي. أما بالنسبة لمسابقة هذا العام، فقد خضعت لظروف استثنائية بعد انتشار فيروس كوفيد-19 مما أدى إلى تعليق المرافعات الشفهية والاكتفاء بتقييم المذكرات الخطية للفرق المشاركة. وفي هذا الصدد، وبعد تقييم اللجنة المعنية بمراجعة المذكرات الخطية للفرق المشاركة، فقد حققت كلية القانون الكويتية الدولية المركز التاسع (9) من بين 745 دولة مشاركة في المسابقة لتؤكد مرة أخرى على مهارات طلبة كلية القانون الكويتية العالمية والتدريب عالي المستوى الذين يحصلون عليه بقيادة نخبة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس بالكلية.
وبهذه المناسبة، وباسم كلية القانون الكويتية العالمية تتقدم ادارة التطوير الطلابي والمسابقات بالشكر والتقدير لكل من الطلبة المشاركين، وهم:
