The Jessup moot involves arguing a hypothetical case on issues of international law as if before the International Court of Justice and held in USA.
Is an international moot court competition hold in Vienna, the moot consists of submitting written memoranda prior to the moot for both sides of the dispute (Claimant and Respondent in legal terminology). The oral arguments phase of the moot is held in Vienna.
Global competition in English Language in international Criminal Law involves collaboration with judges and officers from international court, each teams have to present arguments based on a fictitious issue via the roles of prosecution counsel, defense counsel, government counsel, or victim’s representative.
This competition help the student to develop their advocacy skills before the courts and the ability to prepare legal briefs and case analysis
It is an activity allow the student to take an opportunity to play the role of the delegates to the united nations which is an educational simulation or academic competition in which students can learn about diplomacy and, international relations. It is an activity held during MUN conference, it helps student in researching, public speaking, debating, and writing skills, in addition to critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities.

In line with the School’s Mission, to provide the society with qualified graduates, distinguished in law fields, pursuant to the highest academic and professional levels. This is embodied through the value of abiding with legal rules in practice, and based on the importance of practical training in providing graduates with the skills and professional characteristics necessary to practice in a professional and distinguished manner, and out of the desire of the School to assist them in completing the process of building the student’s abilities to adapt to the future demands of the profession, KILAW is committed to providing students with a stimulating educational environment. Applied practical training skills are delivered by training workshops, such as the Moot court, student parliament, and legal clinic, delivered by an elite group of teaching staff including experienced professors in the field of teaching different branches of law.
The School is determined to achieve this goal by combining courses studied by the student within the required courses in the graduation major sheet with relevant training activities, taking into account the individual differences of the learners, and allow them multiple areas of training commensurate with their interests and personal preferences, according to the following details:
Students train every Thursday (in one of the public or private institutions) from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Students are evaluated for their percentage of attendance, involvement, accomplishing work requirements, and other items to be agreed upon with the training entity. The training is followed up with the subject professor in the School for one hour weekly as specified in the study timetable. This course is taught in Arabic.
Students are trained on oral and written arguments where the instructor presents a case or set of cases, and students play the role of attorneys or prosecutors. Then a moot court is held at the end of the semester, headed by faculty members to play the roles of the court panel. This course is taught in Arabic.
This program aims to equip students with the legal knowledge and training on the legal skills enabling the student to gain a professional self-awareness as well as the preparation of laws and research projects related to human rights and other areas of law. This course is taught in English.
This program aims to equip students with the knowledge and training on skills recitation and improve their intellectual communication. This course is elective and taught in both Arabic and English.
