The role of investment laws in attracting foreign direct investments Comparative study

Abstract

There is no doubt that foreign direct investment has an important role in economic growth in most countries, especially developing countries; therefore, all countries compete to attract these investments by issuing laws that guarantee investors' rights and creating the suitable environment for their money growth and profit achievement. Most of countries have been keen on creating the suitable environment to attract more foreign direct investments as it enacted various laws and take several measures in order to provide an appropriate investment environment to attract more investments. The research aims to identify the development of laws and procedures that regulate foreign investments in some of countries and their impact on attracting those investments. Moreover, the research shall identify the obstacles that face the flow of investments, in order to reach a strategy to increase the rate of foreign direct investments.
