Abstract

Real estate is the main pillar of various economic and social projects, and what distinguishes the Moroccan legislator at this level is its settlement between citizens and foreigners in the ownership of real estate located in the urban area, because the foreigner is subject to the same conditions that the Moroccan citizen is subject to owning these properties, and this enabled a group of foreigners to different countries who own urban real estate in Morocco, whether for housing or investment, and this is in contrast to some Arab countries that restrict foreign ownership of urban real estate with a set of conditions and restrictions such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt. Accordingly, what are the legislative developments related to owning real estate in Morocco? and how do these new requirements contribute to encouraging foreign investment ?, and what legislative ways can be passed to provide the real estate balance for investors, whether Moroccans or foreigners?
